HISTORIAN & WEBMASTER

Brandon Moore

Originally from Michigan and Pennsylvania, Brandon came out west to experience the best undergraduate music therapy program in the country, and to enjoy the beauty that Utah has to offer.  Destined to be the world's next virtuoso, Brandon was introduced to music therapy and immediately fell in love.  The combination of assisting people in their struggles and using music as the means of assistance proved to be too great of an opportunity to pass up.  He made the arrangements and quickly joined the Music Therapy program at Utah State University.

Brandon served as historian for the Utah State University Music Therapy Student Association for two consecutive years.  In the first year he realized the need for an accessible "Scrapbook" to all students.  He therefore designed and hosted the USUMTSA's first website.  Within the year, the bylaws were changed and Webmaster was added to his title.  In his two years he created two digital yearbooks on CD and DVD, designed club t-shirts, made several slide shows, and two acclaimed videos - "Music Therapy: A New Perspective", which is currently No.1 on YouTube for the music therapy category, and "What is Music Therapy?", a thirty-minute

video that includes extensive interviews with professionals

& students on the topic of music therapy can also be

found on YouTube in four parts (I, II, III, & IV).

Brandon recently became the first ever, student music therapist to hold a position in the UAMT presidency.  There has been a great need to maintain an updated website as well as prepare a history of the UAMT for which Brandon was chosen.  His next project within UAMT is to create a video of the history of the UAMT with Maureen Hearns, former President of the association.

Brandon also enjoys jazz piano, classical guitar, and composition with modern music technology.  More recently, he has been busy creating stunning art pieces using photoshop and other photo manipulation programs.  He is grateful that he discovered music therapy first, or

else he would have seriously considered going into graphic arts.
