Tony Ollerton

Tony Ollerton is a graduate of Utah State University and is currently pursuing her masters degree in music therapy, under the direction of the esteemed Dr. Brian Abrams, at Immaculata University. 

Tony’s six-month clinical internship was served under the supervision of Dr. Barbara Reuer, director of MusicWorx of California. During her internship Tony worked in such facilities as the Children’s Hospital of San Diego working in pediatric oncology; Scripps Hospital, La Jolla, where music therapy was utilized in all levels of hospital care; San Diego Hospice; Bayview Behavioral Health; TERI INC., working with children and adolescents with special needs; and

the Music Therapy Center of California.

Tony is currently directing Music Therapy Associates of Utah, Inc. (MTAU) along with fellow music therapist Jamie Prince. MTAU provides music therapy services for facilities throughout Utah. Current facilities served by MTAU include Inspiration Hospice, Salt Lake Corrections, Alpine Hospice, Tender Care Hospice, Willow Creek Hospice, St. Joseph’s Villa, Legacy House of Logan and Neighborhood House. Tony and her team have had opportunities to work with Youth Corrections in Logan, Avalon Hills Residential Treatment Center, Family Institute of Northern Utah, YouthTracks-Utah, Vista Hospice and the Cache County Sheriff's Complexinmate program division. Tony has also served as a field supervisor for music therapy practicum students attending Utah State University.

Tony also is employed as a music therapist and the internship director at the University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI),

working with children, adolescents and adults.

Professional affiliations include membership in the American Music Therapy Association, Utah Association of Music Therapists and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
