Jennifer Birchell

Jennifer Birchell is a graduate of Utah State University receiving her Bachelor of Science and Music Therapy, and completed her internship at Forbes Medical System in Pittsburgh Pensylvania.  Shortly after she realized her dream of working with elderly by becoming a Music Therapist at Sunshine Terrace Foundation in the Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.  Jennifer is also a practicum supervisor as well as clinical training director of two full time music therapy students.

Ms. Birchell is certified in the practice of neurologic music therapy, music therapy assisted childbirth and in hospice and palliative care with music therapy.  She has also had several articles published in local periodicals on her work in rehabilitation and the programs

created at Sunshine Terrace.

Jennifer is an accomplished guitarist and vocalist, but uses a wide range of instruments in her work.  Activities outside of her profession include gardening, camping and spending well deserved time with her family.
